MAIA ZAKAY

RELEASE RADAR

Maia Zakay's debut album #Speakup, was released in the summer of 2020 and co-produced by industry legend
Stephan Oberhoff, who has worked with mainstream stars like Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones, David Foster and many other notable names. Maia’s talent has been largely praised by many she has collaborated with in the music business, including super-producer Scott Storch, who also worked with Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Post Malone and many more superstars!

During an interview Maia said, "I named my album #Speakup because all of my songs on it were my way of speaking up about topics I knew a lot of my listeners could relate to. I wanted to show people that it’s okay to be vulnerable about these hard times in life, and that the more open we are about it with each other, the less isolated we will feel."

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hiii, welcome to my website! My name is Maia Zakay and I’m a 21-year-old singer-songwriter for R&B/Pop music! I was born in London and moved to LA when I was 6 years old so I lost my British accent early on, haha.

I've always loved music, but I started taking it seriously a couple of years ago when I realized how much of a positive impact my songs had on people. I'm a huge mental health advocate, so my purpose is to help my listeners feel less alone in the difficult times we all go through in life. The thing that makes me want to keep putting out new music is the amazing feedback I have gotten over the years. The most meaningful feedback I have received is when people have told me my music made them happier or even stopped them from taking their own life...
